Upcoming Programs

Family Farm Day 
May 18th 1-5pm. A family friendly afternoon at the farm. Free. We'll have Farm Hands to show you around - meet the honey bees, milking goats, horses, ducks and chickens. Pizza Baking in our outdoor cob ovens will be open to everyone throughout the day. Pony Rides, a farm market, and live music too.

Our First Market -  June 15th 2013

This evening market will feature local produce, eggs, baking, and cheese. The markets will segway into family oriented evening activities such as movies in the hayloft, potluck dinners, or... send us your ideas!

Youth Permaculture

...Please visit us and explore the farm, meet the many friendly animals that live here, see the variety of food plants, and look into the world of life in the pond. Please treat our growing foods as food on the shelf at a grocery store. And be sure to ask someone before touching or feeding any animals! Our mission is to grow and support local food systems, while providing visitors with a chance to experience farm life and understand the unique and beautiful animals and ecosystems in Southlands. If you see someone pulling weeds, sorting pumpkins, or digging a hole - offer to help out! we're a community farm, so when you're here, we'd rather you thought of yourselves as fellow farmers than visitors to a park. We run a number of fun skills based workshops and camps for all ages, please explore our website to see what's going on!

We'd rather be outside farming than updating this website... so join our mailing list (below) for infrequent updates on sweet events for you, the kids, or the fam.
