Come visit us and explore the farm, meet the many farm animals that live here, see the variety of food plants, and look into the world of life in the pond. Treat our growing foods as food on the shelf at a grocery store, and be sure to ask someone before touching or feeding any animals! Our mission is to grow and protect local food systems, while providing visitors with a chance to experience farm life and understand the unique and beautiful animals and ecosystems in Southlands.
If you see someone pulling weeds, sorting pumpkins, or digging a hole - offer to help out! We're a community farm, so when you're here, we'd rather you thought of yourself as a fellow farmer and not a visitor to a park. We run a number of fun skills based workshops, field trips, events, and camps for all ages. Please explore our website to see what's going on!
Remember: We are a working farm with all the associated learning experiences. Keep kids close. And be respectful of all the animals and plants.

We'd rather be outside farming than updating this website... so join our mailing list (below) for infrequent updates on sweet events for you, the kids, or the family.

The Farmers have Migrated...
Like the American Robins (Turdus migratorius), our Farm Educators have disappeared into the wild unknowns. We are skiing, guiding, recertifying our outdoor teaching qualifications, and getting stoked for the coming farm season. We will not be running any farm programs until March 12th 2016. If you would like to make any bookings for after March 12th 2016, send us an email, or call our barn phone at 604 261 1295.
